"Nice get away"
Reviewed by Tricia Curley in November 2011
We really enjoyed staying at the Sand and Sea. The place was clean and spacious with great views. I found it a little cold at first and the heat didn't seem to warm the place up quick enough but eventually I got warm. We would stay there again for sure!

"Extremely relaxing and enjoyable vacation. "
Reviewed by zorina in September 2011
My family's vacation was for a very special event and I had planned just what I had wanted for months. I remember the Sand and Sea from when I stayed there with my family when I was a child. I was not disappointed at all. The condo was clean and quiet. We understaood that there was remodeling and updating going on through- out the building but it was very quiet and hardly realized that anything was going on. The only issue we had was on our last night the plastic that covered the back side of the building had come loose and the wind was flapping and making it snap. It woke us up but we were able to go back to sleep. That is only a temporary issue. We used the pool facilities every evening and it was clean and warm and we all enjoyed ourselves. The condo itself was very clean and modern. It was very light and had mirrors on the walls that reflected the amazing views from anywhere in the room. We had a small issue with the firepace that was fixed within 15 minutes of us being there. We will be going back in the future and I highly recommend it to anyone who is thinking about taking a vacation in Seaside.
Manager Response:
Thanks for the recomendations and also for realizing that our construction project is only temporary. We look forward to your return.

"great time "
Reviewed by Jetta in September 2011
Spent the weekend for a cross country meet. 3 adults and 2 teenage boys. Living area was very modern and comfortable. Could entertain a large group, very roomy. Well stocked kitchen and nice balconey, with table and chairs. There were no drapes in the living area, which would have been nice, since my sister slept out there and it was quite light beause of the lighting on the Promenade. Bedrooms were okay, beds okay, a little firm. Two bathrooms, both with good water pressure. We brought our bulldog and the place was very pet friendly and he also had a great time. Renovations did not bother us, working on the south side and we were ocean front. Would stay in this unit again, no problem! My sister and I stayed in a hotel on the prom last year which we enjoyed but because of the larger group chose a condo this time. Because of the location we always choose some place on the prom when visiting Seaside.

"A fantastic ocean front view!"
Reviewed by Melandee in May 2011
My favorite thing about this condo was the ocean view. With floor to ceiling windows, patio door and deck we had a beautiful, unobstructed view of the beach and ocean. It has easy access to the prom and is a short walk to downtown.
The condo was clean and comfortable but a little dated. There were spots on the bedroom carpet and the bathroom sink drained very slowly. The drapes had some water stains on the bottom. I liked the hardwood floor look in the living room/dining room. There was a table on the deck but I was a bit disappointed that there were no chairs on the deck.
The condo is having some major construction happening. We were told ahead of time and the cost of the condo was greatly decreased (which is what made the value excellent). We came expecting a lot of construction noise and disruption but were pleasantly surprised that it was realatively quiet inside the condo. The construction really didn't bother us at all.

"Better than expected"
Reviewed by KAMJOE in February 2011
The Sand & Sea is a dated complex compared to the condos around them. This room, however, was excellent for a pet friendly room. The views are fantastic and the living/kitchen area was really great. The bedrooms/bathrooms are dated but comfortable. We were really impressed that the place was very, very clean when we arrived. Like other reviews.. the windows are a complete mess looking out toward the ocean. Bring your glass cleaner and paper towels. I don't know if the ocean breeze/spray causes the build up but quite a shame to have this gorgeous view be blocked by all the film on the windows. A constant complaint by others. The bottom line is we scored a fantastic rate for our stay and thus the value was excellent compared to other rooms in town. For the same rate I would come back to this room.
Manager Response:
Thank you for taking the time to review your stay. I am sorry that the windows were dirty. In the wintertime it is especially hard to keep the windows clean. You are right, the ocean breeze/spray and sand can causes a build up on the windows. The maintenance staff will be washing the windows more often. Thanks for staying with us.

"The Home I Wish We Had at Home!"

Stepped in the door and the view of the ocean took our breath away... literally. All four of us just inhaled at the same time. Beautiful floor-to ceiling windows and mirrors placed to make the most of the picturesque beach a few steps outside. Clean, spacious, lots of places for mom, dad, and 2 teens to sit or lounge throughout the long weekend we stayed there. Staff was responsive to our request for a lightbulb change & gave great tips on vacationing in Seaside with our 8 month old black lab who was also very comfortable there. We'll make reservations to stay there again for next year's annual beach volleyball tournament!
Manager Response:
Glad you had and good time, hope to see you next year.

This condo has a beautiful view, is spacious, and nicely furnished. The kitchen was well-appointed with cookware, dishes, and utensils. Comfortable furniture and large flat-screen tv in living room was much appreciated, as well as the large mirrors arranged to maximize views of the ocean. The main issue I had with the condo was that the large sliding glass door/window in the living room was seriously dirty which diminished the pleasure of looking out out at the spectacular view. The equally large (and I would think harder to clean) dining room window was clear (thank goodness!).
The other odd element was the throw rug in the living room which appeared unclean, threadbare, and curled up on the ends in such a way that one had to avoid tripping over it. it sure didn't fit with the quality of the rest of the furnishings. I ended up rolling the rug up for safety reasons.
This condo unit is well located (walking distance to everyhting we wanted to do but not so close that it was noisy). There is an adequate swimming pool. You have to get someone in the registration area to let you into the pool (i.e.can't just use your own key like most places) , which is a bit of a hassle. Anyway, overall, a very nice place to stay in Seaside (and we've been going to Seaside and have stayed in a variety of accommodations for thirty years).

"In disrepair."
Reviewed by joan t in October 2009
We had a good time on our trip to Seaside. There were several issues with the condo that would stop me from renting there again. The home was very dusty and I felt it should have been cleaner. The bathrooms were clean, but the rest was not. The kitchen had cabinet doors that were not completely attached and the drawers were hard to open. Even the fireplace didn't work. The entire place needed some updating and TLC. For the prices charged, I would expect much better. On the other side, the grounds were beautiful and the view outstanding. The windows allowed us to see everywhere (although they were very dirty). Nice and sunny and the beach was inviting. The service was good and someone always came when called. It was a girls weekend and we had a great time.

We stayed three nights and the location for seaside is great, and view of the
ocean is unbeatable from this unit. The building and unit itself felt a little
"tired". The carpet in the master bedroom was somewhat dirty, and some
areas could have used a fresh coat of paint. The view could only be improved
upon by having clean windows. You had to work the keys to get into the unit,
but not a big deal. There were five of us and there is one queen and 2 twins,
and a roll away which went into the living area. The kitchen was well stocked
for cooking and the living room was comfortable. All appliances/showers etc
worked great.

We have rented this condo twice and will probably continue to rent it
when we make it down to the coast. The view from the place is really
beautiful- one full wall of windows and oceanfront- it really makes the
property. You are beachfront and an easy walk with toddlers to the
beach and the main street in seaside. The beds were comfortable , the
kitchen well stocked. It is the location and the view that make this a
great find. The screen door to the porch needs to be fixed, but
everything else was in good condition.
